In 2009 he co-founded MoonHill Productions with his wife, producer Isabel Junie Hildebrandt, and since then he's produced or executive produced several films, including the award winning shorts Continuity (2009), and April (2010), the award winning features Small Days (2010), their first completely in-house-produced feature, Driving by Braille (2011). Richard’s screen writing awards include First Place at the California Film Awards in 2011 for Jupiter and Best Produced Screenplay for Driving By Braille (2011, Action on Film). His short film Zombeo & Juliécula, has won numerous awards including Best Family/Children, Action On Film Screenplay Festival, 2012, and Best Short Screenplay at the Eerie Horror Fest 2012. Whether writing romantic, sci fi, or for children, Richard’s focus is to create relatable characters with purpose.
