The Heart of “The Hunger Games”
In my thinking, the adaptations that do the best job are the ones that don’t necessarily stick to every detail that was in the book, and don’t necessarily toss out everything that isn’t purely cinematic, but rather twist and trim in the service of a different ideal: being as faithful as the movie can be to the heart and soul of the book.
